On Tuesday, July 20th PSAC held a BBQ at Canadian Coast Guard premises, Southside, St. John's.? The BBQ was well-attended.? In addition to the funds?raised,?UCTE Local 90915?also made a donation to the Canadian Breast Cancer Foundation.? A good time was had by all. ?

The Strategy Committee of UPCE?Local 80823, National Philatelic Centre, Antigonish has been extremely busy and most effective.

Graduate, Teaching and Research Assistants at Memorial University of Newfoundland have voted overwhelmingly in favour of a first Collective Agreement with the University. “This is an historic moment,” said Juan Acevedo, President of the Teaching Assistants’ Union of Memorial University of Newfoundland.

USGE/PSAC members were up early this morning trying to prevent Correctional Services Canada (CSC) from removing the cattle from the farm at Westmorland Institution.? It was this morning that CSC were to remove the cows from the prison farm to taken them to an auction sale?in Truro, Nova Scotia.
